AMERICA'S CHRISTIAN CREDIT UNION HAS NEARLY DOUBLE THE CROWD AT SIXTH ANNUAL SNOW DAY GLENDORA, CA— The perfect weather and Christmas spirit led to nearly 8,000 people descending upon America's Christian Credit Union for their 6th Annual Snow Day. The event was held on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 in partnership with local radio station Radio Disney AM 1110. This was almost twice as many as attended last year. The event was packed with literally hundreds of families enjoying the snow. Children lined up to take free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as with the special credit union kids' account mascot, Buddy Bee. A petting zoo featuring a huge camel attracted many curious visitors. The local fire department paid a visit to showcase one of their bright red trucks to the kids. The children built snowmen, had singing contests, and played game after game hosted by the team from Radio Disney – all while enjoying 50 tons of fresh snow. Parents and guests enjoyed shopping at several gift and food vendors. Lots of hungry people were happy to see the In-N-Out Cookout Trailer serving up burgers as well. Altogether the America's Christian CU Snow Day continues to be a highlight of the Christmas season for everyone in the community. "What a crowd! For six years now, it has been our joy to present this special Christmas gift to our community. I am grateful to our staff of 85, who did an amazing job hosting this event. With nearly 8,000 people and the amazing response we received from our guests, we are thrilled with how the day turned out and can't wait to do it again next year," President/CEO Mendell L. Thompson said. Admission was free and the event featured special offers to parents and friends as well.
